Lets Study Interpreting


Alhamdulillahirabbil alamin, all praise be to Allah SWT who has given his greatest gift to explainer for preparing modules related to interpreting for students at the university so that God willing, this module can provide learning and understanding for students to comprehend the basics of becoming an interpreter.

Salutation along with greetings to the great Prophet Muhammad SAW who has brought the enlightenment of knowledge to the world which was previously in the era of jahiliyah.

This module is specifically intended for students of English education study programs at Universitas Samudra. The theories contained in this module are compiled primarily based on the thoughts of Saehu (2018) along with other relevant references. This module requires constructive suggestions for improvement. Thank you.

This course is aimed to give basic understanding about the Literature and its elements supported this subject. This course will explore largely the usage of literature in developing of language and attempt to straight forward the students for knowing overall about it. At the end of this semester, the students are able to identify and understand  about definition, types, components  of literature, the essential of studying literature, the elements influenced of literature, intrinsic and extrinsic from literature, identification of the elements of literature through short story and novel. The students obliged to analyze elements of literature through literary works analyzing per-groups. The literary works took from classic, modern and post modern works.

This course is a course that must be followed by all students in the English education study program for this semester with  2 credits. This course is designed with the aim of: (1) providing information about the meaning of drama and the history of drama development in the world, (2) providing basic knowledge of the concept of drama; (3) providing knowledge about drama as part of literary works, (4) providing knowledge and skills to comprehensively analyze drama from an intrinsic side; and (5) providing knowledge about drama in the context of the performance. 

Deskripsi Mata Kuliah:

Mata kuliah ini merupakan dasar bagi mata kuliah writing yang lebih lanjut. Mata kuliah ini akan memperkenalkan tentang dasar penulisan akademik, cara membuat kalimat dengan benar dalam berbagai pola dan jenis kalimat. pengembangan paragraf yang baik, cara mengembangkan ide, cara menghindari plagiat, cara mengutip sumber tulisan (referensi) dan cara menulis dengan baik sesuai academic writing style. Penjelasan materi selalu diikuti dengan praktek secara individu ataupun kelompok.

Mata kuliah ini merupakan mata kuliah umum pengembangan kepribadian yang diberikan kepada semua mahasiswa pada semua program studi di lingkungan Universitas Samudra. This Interpretive Listening (IL) module originally from our passion for developing better methods of teaching listening. In this COVID-19 period, the world moves further into the digital age, generating vast amounts of data and born digital content, there will be a greater need to access legacy materials created with outdated technology. How will we access this content? It is not only finding out, but to develop tools to break down barriers of accessibility for future generations. In truth, we could not have achieved our current level of success without a strong support group. First of all, our parents, who supported us with love and understanding. And secondly, our team, each of whom has provided patient advice and guidance throughout this module process. Thank you all for your unwavering support.

This subject, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, as its name suggested, focuses on teaching English skill as a foreign language. Students are introduced such kind of methods in teaching English as a foreign language. On every occasion, students are thought ten methods in TEFL and they are trained to use the methods in every presentation before the class. The methods being suggested are; Grammar Translation Method ( GTM ), Direct Method ( DM ), Reading Method ( RM ), Audio-lingual Method (ALM), Communicative Language Teaching ( CLT ), Community Language Learning ( CLL ), Total Physical Response ( TPR ), Silent Way ( SW ), Natural Approach ( NA ), Suggestopedia. Finally, in this subject, the students are not only thought the theory and the techniques of each method, but also presents ( practice ) the methods in the form of small learning teaching process in group before the class.
